Top Maps and Navigation Apps in Kenya Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the maps and navigation app market in Kenya demonstrated varied performance across the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.

GPS Phone Location Tracker from ReiDxSoft experienced a decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $112 and decreasing to about $63 by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 1.1K at the beginning of the quarter and stabilizing around 500 in the final week. Active users showed a slight increase, rising from 2.6K to 2.7K through the quarter.

GPS Coordinates Locator Map by Firehawk saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.1K in mid-March. Revenue followed an upward trend, starting at $57 and reaching $99 by the end of the quarter. Active users also grew from 1.3K to 1.5K.

Navionics® Boating by Garmin had a somewhat stable performance with weekly revenue fluctuating between $22 and $127. Downloads remained low, ranging from 20 to 190, while active users decreased slightly from 201 to 70.

GPS Maps Voice Navigation App from GeniusTools Labs showed a varied revenue trend, peaking at $39 in late January before dropping to $4 by the end of March. Downloads decreased steadily from 616 to 189, while active users increased from 3.5K to 4.2K.

Finally, Circuit Route Planner by Circuit Routing Limited maintained a steady revenue around $18 throughout most of the quarter, with a slight dip in the last week. Downloads remained low, peaking at 44 in mid-March. Active users showed minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at 70.
